We’re excited to announce that our 2016 JUMPCUT film Misgivings will feature in the Scottish Mental Health Arts and Film Festival’s official selection, receiving its UK premiere at the Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) in Glasgow!
Misgivings will be presented alongside another Film City Futures production Knock Knock, made by Pollokshields-based Youth Community Support Agency (YCSA) through our PROJECTOR scheme. Both films are screening as part of Youth Perspective, a programme of short films addressing mental health in which young people played key creative roles.
The 2016 SMHAFF International Film Competition received 1,600 submissions from over 100 countries, so having two films featured in the programme is a wonderful achievement. We hope to see as many of the participants at the event as possible, and are delighted that the filmmakers will get the opportunity to watch Misgivings and Knock Knock at a public screening in their home city.
The Youth Perspective event will take place from 1pm-2pm on Sunday 16th October at CCA and is free to attend. Tickets can be reserved online at the CCA box office, or by telephone on 0141 352 4900.
