JUMPCUT have joined up with South Lanarkshire council and Glasgow Music Studios to work with some amazing young people from South Lanarkshire. The young people have already written and recorded some great tracks, one of which was played on BBC radio during Catriona’s recent interview with Janice Forsyth (Eddie reader even tweeted about it).

The young people who either have experience of being a young carer or of the care system are working with mentors from top production company Forest Of Black. who have worked producing music videos for some of the best bands out there, including Belle and Sebastian and Franz Ferdinand.

The young musicians were also visited by young music video director Ian Robertson who directed the new Dizzee Rascal Video “Love This Town” and the No 1 hit for Duke Dumont “Need You 100%”

The group are also being supported by some of JUMPCUT’s former trainees JAMES PRICE, RACHEL SMITH AND WILL LANCASHIRE (Check out the profiles) who are helping with the production of the two videos which will be shot in Jan/Feb 2014.
